Easy Strawberry Lassi that’s just in time for Valentines Day! This recipe is a new twist on the traditional lassi — instead of going original or adding mangoes, i’ve added strawberries and a hint of rose water and it tastes AMAZING!
You guys!
TGIF. No, for real. It’s been one of those weeks that just take you for a spin and wring you until you’re completely so bent out of shape that you can’t tell your hands from your feet. But this strawberry lassi smoothie kind of just has it’s way of slowing time down while you sip on it and tell yourself to keep calm and keep moving.
I’m just letting this strawberry lassi smooth all those wrinkles right out.
In other news.. Is it spring already? We actually got a glimpse of 80 degrees weather this week in Houston — I know, it’s crazy! So when an idea to make strawberry lassi for Valentines day popped into my head, I let the idea consume me completely. Sure mango lassis are popular, but what about a strawberry one with a hint of rose water for something even more special?
And guys, I may never make plain old lassi ever again. <– Okay, that’s simple just not true.
- Because I grew up drinking lassi and it’s something that’s always around at my parents house
- Because sometimes the classic version is the only thing that will cure that craving
Tart, cold yogurt blended together with a little milk, lots of ice, and a hint of sweetness. How can someone not be in LOVE with that? But I will be swapping it out every now and then for this strawberry lassi that’s just as good with a blend of strawberries, less sugar and —
GAH ???????? just look at that color!

Also, let me just mention that you CAN make this strawberry lassi with low fat milk/ yogurt and swap out the sugar for a healthier honey or agave nectar if you please.
You guys, it’s as simple as tossing it in the blender and giving it a whirl, so do give this a try.
Oh. And last but not the least… Congrats to the bestie on her little bundle of joy! We got the good news this morning along with a precious little picture of him sleeping on his mama. ???????? I can’t wait to see him (hopefully later today!)
And now I’m off to bake (hmm.. chocolate chip cookies ?????) for her because the girl couldn’t get enough chocolate during the last few weeks of her pregnancy (and let’s hope that’s still the case).
Have a great Valentines Day weekend! 🙂
