Instructions
Place a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 500 degrees F. In a food processor, combine the tomatoes (that have had the seeds removed), basil, garlic, and olive oil. Pulse until the tomatoes breakdown into a sauce. Place the mixture into a strainer and strain to remove any liquids.
Roll the pizza dough out into a 12” round or rectangle on parchment paper or a silicone mat. You can also spray a baking sheet with cooking spray and dust it with corn meal. Spread the sauce evenly over the pizza dough leaving one inch for the crust. Arrange the tomatoes and mozzarella on top and sprinkle with sea salt. Drizzle with additional olive oil if you'd like.
Bake the pizza for 10 - 12 minutes or until the cheese begins to bubble and turn golden brown. Decorate with fresh chopped basil leaves. Serve immediately.
